Things To Know Before Your Stay
Given our limited inventory, our policies are stricter than you will find in hotels with lots of rooms. This reservation is a purchase, not a hold. Please make sure you've read and understand all of our policies and call us if you have a question before continuing. Making a reservation means that you agree to all terms and conditions.
For other emergencies that come up, we recommend purchasing travel insurance to mitigate the cost of a cancellation. Your credit card company may also have a way to cover the cost for you in the event that you have to cancel. All reservations are based on availability.
CANCELLATIONS: 1. Traditional stays: If you cancel any time between now and 14 days prior to your arrival, there is a $30 cancellation fee per room. Within the 14 days, you are charged the FULL amount of the reservation unless we can re-fill the room.
HEALTH and SAFETY: State and local requirements and industry standards will govern how we handle operations should another national health emergency occur prior to or during your stay. We provide hand sanitizer in guest and common rooms. Daily in-room housekeeping services are no longer available.
AMENITIES: Personal coffee makers and small fridges have been installed in most rooms for your personal beverages and snacks. Rooms feature hairdryers, clocks, reading lamps, shampoo, soaps, shower gel, TV’s and room ACs in season.
SAFETY: No cooking appliances, smoking, smoking materials, candles, or other sources of heat or flame, or pets, are allowed in our 200-year-old historic building. All guest rooms are located on the second floor; there is no elevator. Guests are asked to bring in their own baggage. Travelers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or chaperone who is 21 or older. Every head must be in a bed; bring a pack'n play or porta-crib for very young guests. Maximum occupancy for your reservation is listed on the summary page of your reservation.
CHECK IN TIME: 3 to 6 pm or by prior arrangement. Guests who plan to arrive after 6 p.m. are asked to call 413-498-5921 to provide their ETA.
CHECK OUT TIME: 10 am.
OCCUPANCY LIMITS: Standard rooms have ONE bed each unless specified. Each room or suite has an occupancy limit that applies to everyone, including children.
BREAKFAST: Fresh fruit, homemade pastry, and a hot entree with a choice of beverages and condiments. Breakfast is "Chef's Choice" and served at your choice of 8, 8:30, or 9 am. Please provide dietary restriction and allergy info at least 3 days prior to arrival.
WEDDING PREP: No professional hairdressing or make-up application is allowed in the building due to oriental rugs and antique furniture.
OTHER CHARGES: Forgotten items can be returned from the Northfield Post Office at your request for the cost of postage and shipping. Damage to bedding or furnishings will be charged the full cost of replacement.
